Hidden Spring Blanc de Noirs 2018

Beacon Down say this is a fantastic wine from a small plot of carefully hand-tended vines. A long hot summer in 2022 provided favourable ripening conditions and lovely balanced grapes.

Carefully harvested by Beacon Down friends and family followed by a very cool fermentation this is a dry white wine that is subtle on the nose and delicious on the palate with flavours of stone fruit and a tropical finish.

Dazzling and fresh displaying it’s youthful charm, this 100% Chardonnay has a rich lemon colour, with fine beading bubbles. Fresh fruity aromas of lychee on the nose. Citrus on the palate, sweetness and acidity nicely balanced. Gentle and elegant style, sliced green apples and gala melon. Fine boned with persistent chalky length. The perfect welcome drink, good on its own or accompanied by canapés.

Disgorged early this wine is fruity and elegant. Made only with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, the wine packs a solid punch and is good accompaniment to fish or cheese. Silver lime-leaf green, fine fizz; good yeast autolysis and green fruit with lemon grass accent; lovely delicate style with good balance between acidity and dosage. Nicely defined mid-palate with rich flavour, clean and crisp finish.
