Friday 10th November at the Lansdowne Hotel, Eastbourne.
Sees our next wine event with a wine pairing dinner featuring wines from the French Loire Valley. The River Loire is one of the longest rivers in France and starts high up in the Massive Central before looping round to descend across half of France to the sea. The main part of the river is wide and shallow with vineyards all along the banks to the north and south. This is also the region of fairy tale castles and is steeped in history.
The wines are varied and delicious with Muscadet to the west near the sea and Sancerre to the east and lots of red, rose and white wine producers along the way.
Our dinner will be three courses each with an accompanying glass of wine from some of the lesser known vineyards of the Loire. Ian visited the Saumur region earlier this year and returned with the selection chosen for the dinner.
Why not come along and join us?
